Preschool
Who is Peace Preschool?
A program designed to give children the time to experience God's love from someone other than parents, to learn friendship skills, to play, to create, and to learn that each child is an individual created by God. The program will teach kindergarten readiness skills.
Our time will consist of story time, circle time, group time, choice time, snack time, gross & fine motor activity, singing and creative activities. Our goal is enjoyment in the process, not only in the final project. Our class size is limited to 16 students. With a lead teacher and an assistant, this gives us a ratio of 1:8.
I am Natalie Ames and I am the Director and Lead teacher for the preschool. I have my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Carolina. I am the Mother of 3 wonderful children of my own. My teaching experience includes the public schools, private early childhood learning centers, Sunday school, and work on the mission field, both in Mexico and Belarus.
As a parent, I am aware of the need for quality preschool education in this area. Preschool is the second step to our children entering the academic phase of their life. I will always consider the family home the first. Having a preschool environment that is developmentally appropriate and spiritually based is a foundational step to raising up little men and women of God. With this passion, I started to pray about what part should be in meeting this need. Peace Preschool, "Let The Children Come", is the answer to those prayers.
